Rilla is a former school science teacher in both Uganda and the UK
She enjoys music as a hobby, particularly choral singing.

This piece was written as an entry to a Millennium Hymn competition run by St Paul's Cathedral in 1999. But it is also be appropriate for occasions where a new beginning is called for, such as the aftermath of what has now become the great threat posed by the Corona virus to the future of nations throughout the world.
An arrangement for the present day of the traditional English carol "Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day" composed in 1995 by Rilla Paterson and set in four-part harmony with piano accompaniment. It is published during the Covid-19 lockdown, and is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, singing and dancing will always be part of the human condition.
